Not unless, you work here, are married/have kids here, have an elite visa, ed visa etc... I dont think just having a tourist visa will work for quite a while yet.
I feel you, I did work at a school here for a couple of years. I understand how much of a pain in the arse, it is to do all the border runs, queing up for hours at embassies , then queing up at immigration, making sure all the paperwork is correct, having to go back again because of new paperwork that is needed that wasnt required before. 2 years was enough for me.
The immigration and visa system is well out dated here. Extensions every year, 90 day reports, they could do away with all that. Jeez its 2020 and they still require huge amounts of paperwork.
