Hi all. I'm hearing KBank doesn't allow two different logins/apps for a single joint account. For those of you with joint accounts here, which bank are you using?

Specifically looking for a bank where we can both have the app installed on our own phones to see the balance and make transfers. Any recommendations?

Update: Went to KBank—no issues at all. New passport, they updated my details, took a photo, done. Account stays active. Thanks everyone for the comments.

Applied for a KBank account years ago on an ED visa. My debit card expired and I didn’t renew it because I didn’t want visa questions.

Now the app tells me to visit a branch for face registration and says to bring passport + passbook.

Anyone done this recently? Is it safe, or could they freeze/close the account if they see I’m now on a DTV visa?

I might not even need it? They only want face for higher limits and in case I swap my phone.

A quick question to all the Kbank users. I’ve not had this account long. I’m just wondering why my transfer from my UK bank to my K bank, says Trade Finance. I’m a little concerned that it has not been set up correctly and when I come to submit statements it will not have international or overseas payment on the statement.

I am trying to set up a direct debit payment from the UK into my Kbank, I cannot get through to them on the phone the Live chat is a robot and not answering my question and the email I sent will take up to 10 days

My question is does the swift code need to contain the main bank code or the branch code

Kbank account (2013) & Krungsri account (2018)

Originally opened up a Kbank account in 2013 while on an ED visa. Also opened up a Krungsri account in 2018 while on a METV. Now I'm on a DTV, but the banks don't know I'm on a DTV.

Has anyone had their Kbank or Krungsri accounts closed by the banks like the Bangkok Bank fiasco?

I have a new phone and want to install the Kbank & Krungsri banking apps, but this requires going into the banks to get them to do it. Kbank requires facial recognition to be done at the branch.

I'm a bit hesitant, in case they ask me to update my visa status and if I tell them I'm on a DTV, then they might close down my accounts. Is it risky to try and get them to install the Kbank and Krungsri app on my new phone?

Just opened a bank acc with KBank . I need to deposit the required amount from my revolut account to start the marriage visa ! Do I send money to my Thai bank account in Thai baht or Pounds sterling ?

Recent change in Wise to Bangkok Bank ‘International Funds Transfer’ tagging.

Prior to this month transfers Wise to Bangkok Bank took 3-5 days but where tagged correctly as ‘International Funds Transfer’. However this month the same transfer occured in seconds and appears to have been routed through Kbank and then received at Bangkok Bank as a local bank to bank transfer.

Note: the Wise process did not stop to ask the reason for transfer which I previously tagged as ‘funds for long term stay in Thailand’

I am on the NON-O retirement extension based on 65,000 thb monthly. I am concerned that Bangkok bank will not be able to provide a document for the next extension identifying 12 monthly international funds transfers.

Note: I will print a receipt from Wise each month and save. Remains to be seen how this new change will play out.

Would like to extend my thanks to the group . I am mainly a reader of postings and really not a poster but after reading so much on the banking issue I thought I'll post about my experience today in opening a account with KBank in prachuap khiri khan.

I mainly went there for info on what they required in way of documents to open account. Had a lady greet me when I entered the bank told her I was looking at opening a account. From there she took charge luckily I had the required documents on me.

Within a half hour walk out with new account, card and passbook supplied and with online banking setup in there app .

I had my thai girlfriend with me that help in translation which proved to be very helpful

Overall couldn't of asked for better service and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bank account

How do you transfer 800k to thia bank when it says 50k limit kbank

K bank account opening question. I’m visiting Pattaya to visit friends today, travelling from Phetchabun. Has anyone opened an account in Pattaya on a non O retirement visa with Kbank recently? If so which branch was it? My local branches refused me due to their particular rules.
