Hi all I’m applying for DTV in Hong Kong and my original work contract from 2018 states it’s an in office role

I have a letter stating my role is FULL TIME remote worker

Should I request a new updated employment contract and submit both contracts

Original and new updated contact to give concrete evidence

As my employer has approved officially for me be full time remote worker

I have been for quite some time now however I never got a new contract of employment

Hong Kong Visa Run Report

Required docs (TR visa, US passport):

- Copy of little entry to HK receipt

- Copy of passport photo page

- Application (available on website)

- Passport-size photo with white background

- Onward ticket -- was immediately handed back to me

- 300 HKD (equals 1198 THB or 38.30 USD)

You pick up your passport the following day anytime between 9:30am and 12:30pm.

Officer was very intense and asked me 2-3 times if I was going to work in Thailand (answer: no).

Consulate was packed, but I probably only waited 30-45 minutes.

Officer did not accept my light blue background photo I got from the US Embassy in BKK, but luckily I had another with a white background with me. Officer also didn't accept a photocopy with both my tiny HK entry receipt and handwritten entry doc, so I had to recopy just the tiny entry receipt, alone.

Ask on the first floor reception where the copy shop is. It's a bit of a walk, but not a big deal.

Final thoughts: Straightforward, but intense.

Questions welcome!
