I'm in the process of getting documentation for a Non B and am wondering if anyone has been to Hong Kong recently (for a Non B) and what their experience was like and if so apart from the documents listed on their website was there any additional documents required?

Hi everyone, I am planning to fly to Thailand around the 12th this month. I am AUSTRIAN and I am currently residing in China. I would like to apply for a 60 days tourist visa in Hong Kong and also I would like to keep the waiting time for the visa to a minimum, as HK is an expensive place to wait. Does anyone here have experienced a Thai visa application in HK? Also which exact documents will I need to prepare. Is a booked flight to leave Thailand 100% necessary or is their any way to avoid that. I don't know what I am up to after 3 months, so booking a flight now would be a bit ridiculous.

Thanks in advance and happy new year everyone :)

Hi guys. I was meant to be going to Hong Kong on Wednesday to apply for my Non B working visa having previously been on a non O visa. Plan was land Wednesday, Consulate Thursday, collect docs Friday and return to BK Saturday. Work have just called to say I can't do that now as need to spend 6 days out the country, as I need to arrive and they then have to apply for WP whilst out the country. I'm sure I read the other day that HK was one of the easiest for Non Immigrant B. Work are insistent I only go to Singapore or Hong Kong. Are they right about 6 days away or wrong? Seems extravagant. Thanks

Report: First timer family of 3 (one child) getting a tourist visa after a couple of prior work permit related visa and extensions of stay. Hong Kong office. Very straightforward. Supplied copies of passport, application form, 300 HKD cash x 3 for us. Questions about future work intention ( "if that possibility arises I would consider it" ). Asked for 85 days but they said 60 days. No proof of flight out or fund proof requested (which we were prepared for anyway). Dropped off at noon. Picked up almost noon next day. Hours 930am to 1230pm. Dont go as late as we did. Copy place downstairs but we used hotel copier. Photo booth in admiralty underground subway station for 50 HKD which is fast. Thanks all your help, group, and of course, especially Tod Daniels.
