how about if I want to change from OA retirement to O retirement? I will have to leave the country and come back after the visa expires right?

Apply O retirement during my visa exempt period.

I already have THB800,000k in the bank.

Since we’ve been staying here for 2 years do I still need to show funds transferred from a foreign account?

Questions for UK based DTV visa holders using Workcation as their activity:

- Did the whole process happen through E Visa system? No need to go to embassy?

- What was your chosen document to indicate current location? A recent utility bill?

- Did you have to show financial evidence of 500k Baht for both you (the applicant) and also for spouse?

- My current contract with client is for a company outside of the UK (but not in Thailand). The E Visa website says Employment contract “in their country” do you think they want the contract to be with a UK company or is this just lost in translation? I categorically know that it has to be work outside of Thailand.

Your answers are much appreciated 🙏

Hello to everyone here,

Does someone any experiences with The pension certificate from the German embassy in Bangkok? My pension will start from July 2024 .

I have the 90 days non immigration O visa and will start the process of extension to a one year retirement visa in Thailand.

I will arrive in Bangkok on 4th of May.

My question is:

Am I eligible to get the 1 year visa with my pension starting in July?

Or should I put 800 000 Baht just from very beginning on a Thai bank account which I will open on my first days there and wait 2 monts and then go to immigration office and apply for the 1 year Visa?

I actually wanted to use the combination method for my financial evidence , my pension+ the rest of 800 000 Baht on the account= together 800 000 Baht .

I would be very happy to get your advice . I think German speaking members of this forum may help me more.

Thank you in advance

Hi, i am applying for METV E-visa from the UK.

I have applied for one before but looks like something has changed, has anyone applied for one in the last year as it looks different to what i need to upload since last year, i used to have to include my bank account details to show funds and tax statement (which i think i put for my document indicating current location), The supporting document pages i only get the following below and no other pages once i get to the submit page, little confused on this, any advise much appreciated.

Also the Intended Date of Departure, should this be within my first 60 days of arriving into Thailand?

Again any help and advice much appreciated

Hi guys, hoping to get some advice. I'm from the UK currently here in Thailand on a visa exempt. I would like to stay longer term and understand that I can apply for a 1 year non immigrant O-A visa. I am over 50 and have the required funds in the UK. I'm a little unsure on the application requirements so have some questions.

Do I need to be out of the country when I apply? It's not a problem if I do. I think I can do it via e visa so can just go to another country for a while or I will be returning to the UK for a visit in July anyway.

I think I have to produce evidence of no criminal record so do I just get a basic DBS check certificate and produce that?

For the financial evidence, do I just produce a bank statement showing the equivalent to 800,000 baht in my UK bank account?

Grateful for any advice. Many thanks

Hi Guys 👋. Hope everyone is wonderful! I’m about to start the process of applying for an MEV, from U.K. - however, I’m concerned about the financial evidence bit! My question is do you have to have had £5k in bank for last 6 months?

I’m confused by what it says on London Thai Embassy website! I have the funds but, I haven’t had no where near that in my bank the last 6 months - at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! ☺️

It's coming to the time of year where I need to apply for my one year extension based on marriage to a Thai National. This coming year I unfortunately can't show 400k in my bank account prior to my application, but I maybe able to apply showing an income of at least an average of 40k a month over a year. If this money is all shown coming from abroad in to my Thai bank account does it need to be at least 40k a month, or could it be 60k one month and 30k the next with the total accumulation over a year coming to 400k or more over a one year cycle? Also, is PayPal acceptable evidence of income to my or my wife's Thai bank account? Any known knowledge to either of these questions would be much appreciated prior to my application, thank you kindly in advance.

Hi! Apologies in advance if these are stupid questions however I'm having some trouble with my visa application and wondered if someone could help me please? I have flights booked for the 4th of Feb, I am flying from the UK. I am looking to get a TR EVisa however upon filling out the application I'm a bit unsure of some things.

- Place to stay in thailand. Do I need to have my airbnb and ASQ booked prior to applying for the visa? As it also asks for proof of accomodation booking.

- Financial Evidence, my business will be covering the costs of my trip along with my friend. Will she need to have a certain amount of money in her account to get accepted for the visa?

- Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. My friend is Croatian, she has pre settlement status here in the uk along with national insurance number etc... will a copy of her pre settlement agreement cover this?

- Are two people allowed to share a room in ASQ hotels or is it limited to 1 person per room?

Thanks in advance for all the help :D
