TLDR : Answer Summary
Applying for a DTV in Kuala Lumpur is generally not recommended due to strict documentation requirements and a lengthy approval process. One comment indicated it takes about a month for approval or denial, with potential for repeated requests for documents. Additionally, there are mixed feelings about living in Kuala Lumpur, with some finding it unpleasant compared to Thailand.
My question to you . Have you been to Kuala Lumpur ? I couldn’t imagine living there. It’s unpleasant and frankly speaking , it’s predominately Muslim. The food is not good and the cleanliness is ungodly.
Thailand is the best. One man’s opinion. Hope you find what you’re looking for. Read your profile. You’re okay in my book. My cousins were in a MC. Salt of the earth. They are from Detroit. I’ll let you guess which club.
I know better than to guess.... 🤣 But I will say there's clubs, then there's biker royalty. 😎
Dan *******
Terry. Bunch of Outlaws. My cousin was riding one night and ran into a telephone pole ( on a trailer ) being towed by Ma Bell. The lights were out on the trailer and he sued. Spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Settled for a 2 million dollar payout. His family had to assume control of his assets as he was killing himself with all the drugs and alcohol. Probably haven’t heard the story but if you had , you’d know it’s true. Can’t make this shite up.
can Get a cheap AirAsia flight to Vietnam and apply.

Malaysia is very much not recommended as a place to apply for DTV. They will ask you for documents you've already sent them at least 3 times. They will be VERY strict on the requirements. And they'll take approximately a full month to approve or deny.
I just came from Vietnam, I was living in the Philippines (if you can call it that) for five months before that. I have not been to Indonesia yet. My thing is, I'm not a digital nomad, so I'd most likely do the soft power, probably Thai boxing. My issue isn't money, it's just finding a receptive embassy, and those seem to be fading fast. 🙄
most people for DTV seem to go to Vietnam, though they seem to be getting more strict there too. I've heard people start recommending Indonesia more because you can stay in Bali while waiting for your application. A few mentions of Philippines too.
