Hi

I'm after some advice regarding temporarily leaving Thailand. I have a NON-O retirement visa with a multiple-entry stamp.

One stamp states "Please contact immigration for a RE-ENTRY permit before leaving Thailand", and another states "To keep your stay permit, re-entry permit must be made before leaving Thailand"

Do I need to do this as I have a mulitple-entry stamp. If so, how do I get re-entry permit anf how long does it take

* Im a bit confused with this type of visa :

One-year non-immigrant visa Thailand multiple-entry: This visa allows you to enter and exit Thailand multiple times. If you opt for this route, you can upgrade it to a business visa once your work permit application has been successfully processed.

Can you extend this visa annually and keep the business without a workpermit? Or do you get it only one year to start the business?

The DTV holder has the right to stay in Thailand for 180 days, which can be extended for an additional 180 days, for a total of 5 years. However, when a frequent traveler or digital nomad has used their 180 days, if they travel abroad and return, will they continue to use the remaining days from the initial 180 days, or will a new 180-day period begin? Additionally, since this visa is a multiple-entry visa, can the visa holder enter and exit Thailand as many times as they wish?

Can a couple go to Thailand on a multiple-entry visa, then apply for a retirement visa before it expires? Would that be doable? Also, how long does one have to stay in another country before re-entering Thailand on the multiple-entry visa?

Has anyone semi-recently received a multiple-entry visa out of the embassy in Washington D.C.? I'm wondering how long it took.

I am scheduled to arrive in Thailand by air on the 11th of February 2024 and plan to depart 11 days later to visit neighboring countries. Subsequently, I will return to Thailand on the 24th March via Suvarnabhumi Airport, where I intend to stay only at the airport while waiting for my connecting flight to my destination country.

In light of this itinerary, I am seeking guidance on whether I should apply for a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. Additionally, I would appreciate information on the application process, specifically if it can be completed online or if it needs to be done upon arrival ( Maltese citizenship entitles us to do it upon entry as well)

Your assistance in providing clarity on these matters would be immensely helpful as I prepare for my travel arrangements.

Hi all. I'm super excited about just getting approved for a 6-month multiple-entry visa as an American. I'm also still waiting on approval for my Thai Elite 5-yr visa that I applied for just before the updated prices went into effect.

I'll be turning 44 years old at the end of December and I was thinking it would make more sense for me to do multiple-entry visas (hopefully being able to spend about half the year each year in Thailand) until I turn 50 and then start doing retirement visas.

Is this a viable plan rather than doing the Thai Elite visa? Any other drawbacks to this plan? Does Thai immigration start denying multiple-entry visas applications if you've done a certain number of them? I was hoping I could do one 6-month multiple-entry visa per year until I can apply for the retirement visa when I turn 50.

So my BOI non-B visa extension and work permit will expire on September 3rd...I plan to get a multiple entry visa from Laos based on having a Thai spouse. But iIs it better to leave the country on the 3rd (by plane or land?), then come back on a visa exemption stamp and do the Laos visa when the stamp expires or is it better to get the Spouse visa straight from Laos first?
