Can I enter Thailand several months after my DTV is approved, or do I have to enter within a certain period after approval?
Answer summary
Yes, you can enter Thailand several months after your Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) is approved, as long as you do so before the visa expires. The DTV is valid for five years from the date of approval, and there are no mandatory deadlines for activation. However, it is advisable to schedule your travel within three months of application, as immigration officers may inquire about your travel plans.

you have 5 years to enter since approval... BUT, you really should apply within 3 months of travel because they will want to see a flight ticket from the country you are in to thailand within those 3 months period.. if it is outside of those 3 months, they will tell you to apply closer to your arrival date.
According to the law, it is allowed, but perhaps he is asking more about how it works in practice—whether they might ask him questions or whether it might look suspicious.
Yes, you can enter whenever you want. The DTV is a 5-year multiple-entry visa, so there's no mandatory deadline to 'activate' it. Just keep in mind the 5-year timer starts ticking on the date it's approved, not when you first land.
well, that’s gonna be heavily determined on which Immigration Officer you get. I would say some sort of pink to purple lace. That’s my go to, I’ve never had any problems 🙂↔️
