For the O-A visa do I need to show 800k baht equivalent (approx 24k USD) or 30k USD?

The requirements list shows 800k baht, and the document list says 30k USD.

If you have a Thai bank account, you can show that bank account and 800,000 baht.

If you do not have a Thai bank account and you want to use your account in the US, you need to show $30,000. That's because the embassy uses a shitty conversion rate.
