ORIGINAL POSTER
Approved visa in a few hours! ✅🎉

Applied for the Soft Power DTV through the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles.

Application submitted: Friday 10/10 10am

Approval received: Friday 10/10 5:30pm

What I submitted:

* Bio data page of passport

* Passport photo

* Proof of current address (front & back of driver’s license)

* Three months of bank statements showing $50k USD - used a high yield savings account through Marcus but no issues here!

* House of Taste Cooking Class: invitation letter, payment receipt(6 month membership), company info and data

Notes:

* Super smooth process for me

* My partner had to resubmit his application and pay another $400 because he submitted with his personal account financial account that wasn't seasoned. The second time he submitted with letter explaining the accounts + business account funds transferred, he was approved.

Huge thanks to the group for all the help. Happy to answer any questions!

congratulations to you and your partner on being approved!

I am about to apply for the DTV in LA as well and have a few questions if you could help answer:

1. I understand for the soft power route that proof of income is not a requirement, but if you don’t mind sharing, what did you enter for the employment details?

2. What was your date of arrival? Was it within the next week or month? Just gauging to see if they process faster if your flight is around the corner.

3. Did you provide an already booked accommodation information or just entered the information based on a future booking?

4. No questions were asked regarding the above?

Once again congratulations on your approvals! I really appreciate your kindness in helping someone nervous like me who is navigating the visa application process. Thank you so much!

I'm about to apply in LA too. I moved about 6 months ago and haven't updated my ID home address. Do you think that will be a big deal?

So, you were not required to show evidence of regular income?
