DTV approved! Enrolled in House of Taste Thai Cooking School 👨‍🍳 [members only]/ I highly recommend them if you are going soft power route.

They are super fast to respond on WhatsApp and so nice. They quickly provided all the documents needed for the DTV and the LA Consulate did not ask for anything additional.

I’m so excited for my first class with a market tour next week! 😁

I can also confirm the LA Consulate is moving much faster now as my DTV was approved in 3 business days. Best of luck to everyone!

Since apparently we have a slew of over skeptical fear mongers on this FB page here it is. I applied for soft power DTV cooking school on July 2nd through the LA Thai Consulate. I was approved 3 business days later on July 8th. I used House of Taste as stated in my post. I contacted them on June 27th to enroll in their school based on my research and the positive experience of others that have posted on here. They enrolled me same day and sent me all the documents I needed that day to include:

- Letter of enrollment

- Invoice of payment

- Company registration of school (DBD)

- Copy of ID

- Certificate of school

My arrival date at BKK was delayed a week and I asked House of Taste if I could adjust my first class and they replied same day and quickly adjusted my class for me.

House of Taste and the owner Chattabhorn are just good people and made this process from their end seamless and easy.

I personally did my research and homework looking at this FB page and other resources to make sure I had everything needed so I would not get asked for additional documents. I even called the LA consulate and was able to get through to a live person twice. You might ask how, I called at 9am when they opened and instead of pressing a button when prompted I waited and someone picked up. I asked them how to list my Place of Issue for my passport because as a passport holder from the USA it says on our passports issuing authority. The person that picked up at the LA Thai Consulate first told me to list United States, but then they kindly called me back about 15 minutes later and told me they asked it should match the passport and say United States Department of State. So that is how I listed it and I did not get rejected like so many others have.

Believe what you will Wannikea Wanblee but some times preparation and positive mental attitude get you farther in life…

Got mine from them as well, 2 months ago. Great school and fantastic location, in the heart of Bangkok, minutes away from the beautiful Benjakiti park.

BS advertising.

Anonymous participant it’s not the anonymity that’s the issue; I completely understand that. It’s the way your post is worded, it really comes across like an advertisement. A lot of others here seem to feel the same way. There’s nothing wrong with promoting something, but it would be much better if it were done openly and honestly.

Sounds like an ad. Coupled with the earlier post this morning expressing reluctance to provide documentation and suddenly all the positive responses in a very short time... sceptical.
