For this address information, I am a little bit confused and doing some search in groups and seeing different answers. So let me ask here. I am going to apply at Laos for this application. And yes I have different address for my home country.

So, where should I fill that laos address (hotel) information and my home country address information? First or second?

edit: How likely is it that applicants are called in for an interview in Savannakhet? It seems to be mandatory in Vientiane — is it the same in Savannakhet?

Any recent experiences would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,

Vientiane have requested an interview dated the 11th December.

Would it look rude if I emailed them to request an earlier date?

Just don’t think I can stay here for too long with my mental health issues. But they have been amazing with the visa process so far. Never expected them to review the documents so quickly.

Timeframe:

27th Nov 6.30pm - entered via Nong Khai land border

28th Nov 6.30am - submitted all workcation docs online

28th Nov 10.30am - paid visa fees at embassy

28th Nov 3pm - request for documents (clearer photograph)

29th Nov 22.30pm - request for interview

Hey everyone. Laos / Vientiane application. Interview scheduled for this Tuesday 23/09/25 however I’m confused about what these prompts mean? 🤔 there isn’t any options for me to do anything anywhere in my account. I’m just a bit nervous because all of the posts I’ve seen have mentioned when waiting for interview the status will read as “pending approval”. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thank you 🙏

DTV process in Vientiane, Laos. My experience.

4 days.

Arrived the 03 of march in Vientiane. Prepared all my documents in the train. Arrived early on the morning. I add the laotien entry stamp to my folder, bought sim card in the train station and submitted my application at the station. Run to the embassy and pay (the place accept paiement till 12h30).

03 march aftenoon documents accepted, then march processing pending approval status

04 interview requested

06 interview on the afternoon. Received my e-visa by mail directly after interview and could leave laos by night.

I applied as freelancer. Just submitted porfolio + paylips.

Thank for the informations on the group, very useful to prepare everything correctly.

Hey everyone!

Planning to leave Thailand soon to apply for the DTV visa. For those who’ve gone through the process, do you have any recommendations for applying in neighboring countries like Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam? From where have people had positive experiences? Thank you

Hello Everyone👋

I'm gonna be going to Laos to apply for my Student Visa, due to the situation in Myanmar. My university have agreed to provide me with all the necessary documents and visa letter.

I managed to secure a booking on May 17.

My only concern now is, how is the situation over on Laos? Would it be a smooth process or should I try to get an "A" word to speed up the process? ( i don't know if we are allowed to say the word on this group )

Any words of advice are welcomed. 😁😁
