What should I do if my DTV application was canceled due to a name error and I'm facing issues with my intended arrival date?

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for a DTV through the Thai Embassy in Vientiane and would appreciate any advice or similar experiences.

My timeline:

• 30 June: Arrived in Vientiane and submitted my DTV application.

• 1 July: Visa fee payment completed.

• 2-3 July: Waited for processing and then received an email at night informing me that my application had been cancelled.

The reason was that there was an error in my name on the application, so it was cancelled rather than rejected.

After researching online, I created a new application on 6 July. However, when completing the new application, the e-Visa portal would not allow me to select an intended arrival date earlier than 7 July.

My question is:

Since I actually entered Laos on 30 June and have been staying here continuously using my 30-day Laos Visa on Arrival, should I upload my boarding pass and Laos visa stamp to explain my actual arrival date in Laos? Does that make sense to the embassy?

Has anyone experienced a similar situation, or can you advise me on the next steps? I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment.

For context, my application is based on genuine remote employment with companies/clients in Europe.
