Hi, I'm on my 90-day Non-O visa, the 800k THB deposit should come in before or around Dec. 18, an exact month after my entry. I plan to extend my stay to a year. Many thanks to great advices from this group. My questions are :
1) when should I apply for an extension to a year ?
2) if I wait for my deposit to reach 2 full months and then apply, will I have enough window between 2-month deposit vs. 90-day stay ?
( I really don't want to leave the country and then re-apply for 90-day Non O )
3) are health insurance、criminal record from one's country required for the extension.
4) my Thai bank did not ask for address certificate and I successfully opened an account. Would I still need to apply for address certificate for any purpose ??
K-Bank at EmQuartier shopping mall did an excellent job, no address certificate needed、no hassles、very helpful staff and open on weekends. I strongly recommend this branch ! 💪💪
I have a question regarding getting a motorbike driver’s license. I hope it can fit in the group.
Currently, I only have an international driver’s license for cars, but not for motorcycles. I’m staying in Thailand on a DTV visa in Pattaya.
Could you recommend a trustworthy driving school or agency that could help me obtain a motorbike driver’s license?
I already know how to ride a motorbike and I’m familiar with the traffic rules. However, I’ve had trouble finding reliable information online. I tried searching on Google and Facebook, but I came across a lot of misleading information—and even some scammers. One person messaged me offering a license for 1,500 baht, claiming they could pass the test for me and complete everything in two days (which obviously sounds suspicious).
I’m not sure where to start. Many guides say I’ll need an address certificate from immigration, but I have no idea how to get that with a DTV visa.
I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction, or recommend a legitimate agency that can help me with the process at a reasonable cost—ideally with minimal hassle.
Just to clarify, I want to go through the process legally and take the tests myself. I’m only looking for help with booking appointments, finding an English-speaking school/exam, and getting things like the address certificate sorted.
Thank you in advance for any help or recommendations! 🙏
I am wondering to apply for the address certificate, do I have to bring a Thai-English rental contract, or English-only rental contract is enough. Thai is too tough. I rent a condo from my friend and neither of us knowing the Thai language. Thanks for your advice.
🙏🏽✨ Help! I am applying for an education visa from a school out of Chiang Mai and need a Tm30 and address certificate from Chiang Mai but I am not currently residing there (I plan to move there in October) ...anyone know of any nice landlords or hostels or hotels in CM that I could ask to put me down for TM 30& addres certificate?
