I'm on a non-o retirement visa and my annual condo contract is about to be ended soon.
I plan to take my car and have a "coast to coast" trip in Thailand for a month or two and rent a new place only after I will be back to town.
I have 3 questions regarding my plan:
1. Can I remain on that visa without having a permanent residence for that period?
2. How do I manage with the TM-30 requirement, in case I will be staying from time to time in camping sites, or in small un-registered guest houses?
3. Anything else that I should know/consider, regarding my plan?
Thanks in advance for your advices!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a non-O retirement visa and plans to travel around Thailand for one to two months without a permanent residence. Key concerns include maintaining visa compliance during travel, managing TM-30 reporting for temporary stays, and general considerations for their travel plans. Responses indicate that having a rental agreement is not necessary to keep the visa valid, and TM-30 compliance generally falls on landlords, with advice to ensure that landlords fulfill this requirement.

1. Your visa is not dependent on a rental agreement. You are free to move around at will.
2. It is for the individual landlords to conform to the TM30 requirements in their area. You do not need to ensure that it has been done unless you get another lease. Then my advice is to make sure the landlord does it and gives you the receipt. If he doesn’t then go to immigration yourself and do it on his behalf.
As Robert said, if you need to go the immigration for something else that needs to show where you live, then it would be prudent to ensure that the TM30 has been done.
