Can someone help me with this please.

Non O visa

I have filled in and downloaded everything I need apart from:

Support Document

Document indicating current location (e.g., valid visa, receipt(s)/proof(s) of payment of airline tickets or accommodation, etc)

I have not paid for a flight yet because I have not got the visa and I will be living with my Thai partner in her home.

Visa application is incomplete without it.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Tia 🙏
Answer summary
The user is seeking assistance with the required support document for their Non-O visa application, specifically needing proof of their current location without having booked a flight yet. Comments from the community suggest several alternatives such as providing a utility bill, bank statement, or a driving license with a current address to demonstrate proof of residence. Additionally, users mention that a letter from a partner confirming accommodation in Thailand may also suffice. Discussions also cover challenges with document size and tips for reducing file sizes for uploads.

A bank statement in your name ,

If you go down the route of 65.000 income you have to start producing proof of annual health insurance, the 800.000 Baht needs to be in your bank for 90 days , if you don't have 800.000 No visa

Thank you all for your help, just in case it helps anyone else, I tried doing a photo of my driving licence and a letter from my pensions people, both of them exceeded the 3mb limit for a jpeg.

As a bit of a dinosaur with these things I didn't have a clue how to reduce the size of the jpeg, this has happened to me a few times so a bit of advice on that would be great.

However, in the end I just downloaded a Bank Statement and it seemed to like that, time will tell.

Once again, thank you all xx

Ian Hojo just email the photo to yourself and reduce the size of the photo then use the new photo off the email

OP
Ian Carman How do you reduce the size of the photo?

It is a photo, surely it can only be one size, admittedly you can enlarge or reduce the size of the image that you are looking at, but it will still have the same detail as the original so will still have the same number of pixels.

Proof of accommodation in Thailand- ask your partner for a letter that you will stay together at partner's place. Or book a hotel for a night or two, and ask them for confirmation email. You not need to stay at same place during entire stay, hotel trick always works without being questioned.

Get a legit ticket- in worst case scenario you can get to Thailand on visa excemption.

All ambassies have different rules- ask ambassy in London of examples of documents they expect- London ambassy reply to e-mails.

I just copied and downloaded a utility bill and a phone bill. They are only trying to confirm where you are coming from .

What about driving licence?

OP
SkilledPelican9038 do you think that will work? I think of a driving licence as something that is mobile, so not necessarily in my location.

It would certainly be easiest.

Driving licence is not mobile, in UK you need to update your address in driving licence every time you move your place. But this not mean DL is accepted everywhere as proof of address- ask what proof they expect in e-mail.

Ian Hojo Yeah, I used my driving licence, and my flight ticket too

Honestly, I think you should include the flight ticket as well, because there’s a good chance they’ll ask for it later if you don’t😅

I wouldn’t worry too much about the Non-O visa. As long as you meet the financial requirement, you should be fine. It’s actually a pretty straightforward visa

Just some letter that you received recently with your name and address on it

They're looking for proof of your current location, ie that you are currently within the jurisdiction of the consulate you are applying at. Your most recent utility bill should suffice

Ian Hojo you have a “rental” contract were you live now? And a proof of registration from the municipality. I have the same, and for me rental contract and proof registration was sufficient.

they might accept a driving licence, a time stamped photo of you with a current receipt of something like that?

Ian Hojo, in which country? An ID Card with your address? A bank statement with your address? A drivers license with your address?

Ian Hojo you can upload the invoice from the airline which has your current address (billing address). At least you have this because Thai embassy (London) wants you to buy the ticket from the airline only.

Henrik JN UK driver’s licence does have your address on it.

Ian Hojo, yes, UK is a little difficult because you dont have ID Card and no address on your drivers license. If your bank will issue a letter with your address, then it will be fine. Otherwise, some official letter with your address. Or in worst case a rental contract or similar with your family.
