Hello!

I have a question regarding the Non Imm B visa.

I am going to be employed by a BOI company.

I have applied and obtained my Non Imm B visa in Vientiane.

I then proceeded to the immigration and obtained a stamp on my passport where the office wrote Non B on the stamp.

My HR in my company tells me that the stamp is not valid and that I should get a Non IB stamp. She also says that I need to get to the origin place where the mistake was made to fix it (which is Nong Khai, I am in Bangkok)

Is it true? Can I fix the stamp in Bangkok?

Thank you for your help

Dear lovely people, I’ve come for some advice on visa and work permit cancellation.

I’ve just recently resigned from a BOI company and are now serving notice period.

Here where it gets tricky. I will be starting a new job with a non BOI company and therefore can I ask, what would be the maximum extension of stay that my BOI company can apply upon the date of visa and work permit cancellation? Thank you 🙏

Hello!

My work permit and Non B visa are planned to be closed/cancelled by my company by the end of March, but I am flying out of the country about 10 days later.

Would this leave me in a situation of overstay? I think it will be an issue... however I've been told not to worry...

But I do worry! Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, bit of a complicated situation. So I have a BOI company in Bangkok of which I am the Managing Director. My passport was stolen last year in Phuket and so the visa had to be transferred to my new passport. Apparently Immigration at OSSC Chamchuri Square made a mistake and transferred as non-b but my initial visa I enterred was non-ib. Now I need to extend my visa and single window system tells me I need to contact immigration to change from non-b to non-ib before being able to make the appointment for visa and work permit extension. With my extensive experience with visa and WP in Thailand, I have the feeling this probably won’t be possible as immigration would need to acknowledge that they did a mistake to change it which I don’t think they will. So I am already prepared to fly out and get a new non-b or non-ib and just apply for a new visa and Work Permit. Or anyone thinks there is a chance this might work? I am not in Bangkok right now, otherwise I would just go and ask of course but not sure if it is even worth it or just a waste of time. Maybe someone has experience with this or has been in a similar situation before.

Many thanks, Carl!

I have a work permit and work visa with my BOI company.

There were some misunderstanding with my employer and i realized i have overstayed for 20 days now. Im planning to leave by tomorrow.

My question is would that be a good option? is it possible to leave the country and pay fine at the airport without canceling my business visa? if so, can i still come back in future?

And if its best for me to cancel my work permit and visa first, is it safe for me to do that in person given the fact that im currently over stayed?

Hi I did my 90 day reporting online on 16/11. It’s due on 23/11 and still pending. Any idea what to do? I have a WP with a BOI company so I am serviced at the One stop service centre in Chamchuri SQuare. Can’t go there right now unfortunately as I am in Samui for holiday. Always did it online and never had any issues until now! Thanks!

Hello All!

My husband & I have been on retirement visa for 6 yrs in Thailand. We recently chose to go back into the workforce with a business to help Thailand. We now have our BOI company approved, & need to leave, go to Embassy, & return.

We also have 2 foreign employees who need to do the same. They were on a few covid extensions though while waiting for the company approval. (COVID slowed the process down tremendously).

Has anyone had issues coming back in with changing over to a business visa (smart visa)?

We would love to know what to potentially expect.

Hi,

Thanks a lot in advance for your help !

I read on the previous posts that a TM30 is necessary when applying for a covid extension at Chaeng Wattanna office.

However I don't have a TM30 because:

- until now, I had a non B visa from BOI office and it seems that I was therefore exempted of the TM30 process

- from now, I don't have a permanent address anymore (I checked out from my condo and I'm on holidays, going from an hotel to another...)

Do you think it will be a blocking point ? Any advice ?

Some explanations on my situation: my work permit / non B visa will be cancelled at Sam Yan office on the 22nd of March, I will try to get the covid extension the day after, my intention is to stay a few weeks on holidays in Thailand before I definitely go back to my country in May (my justification will be that the vaccine ramp up is in progress in France so the situation should improve by mid of may ...)

Hi, I am living in Singapore on an employment pass and looking to relocate to Thailand due to some issues in Singapore. Thailand is the wife top choice for our next country and i can't disagree with her on that! Perhaps we will open up an entity there for the company i work for if required. I'm looking for an immigration expert to help me figure the process and options.
