Is there any foreign investor here? If I do not get an investor/elite visa, I intend to apply for a working visa as optional. From my understanding, If I want to start a tour company here, it appears that a local partnership with 51% ownership is required. The information I found online is quite out of date. Is this policy still in effect these days. Also, I discovered that there are numerous unregistered companies with no licenses operating tours in Thailand. (ex. [members only], [members only]/) Are the laws allowing this? They don't seem to be in any trouble. I'm looking for advice on starting a tour business in Thailand and I can't seek a clear information about it. What kind of visa and license do I need? I heard there is more than one license required. This is a little confusing.

Hi guys a quick question about investor visa.

I understand the visa needs at least 10 million baht asset from buying condo or bond, or fixed deposit account.

I have read some articles over the internet and cannot find the answer, does the condo part over cover brand new condos? Second hand condos aren't covered under this visa program?

Hello, My girlfriend and I have arrived in Chiang Mai to check out a building project her father started but ran out of money near completion, approx 45 million baht was put into it. Itā€™s been sitting in the hills for 15 years and now we want to take on the project and I have been made power of attorney and have teh chanote deed. We need advice on what type of visas could we possibly be eligible for and considering the substantial amount invested already by the company does that allow for us to maybe be open any type of investors visa? Thank you all for any help, much appreciated.

Hello everyone,

Could someone please help me clarify a definite answer for Thailand Investment Visa.

I am thinking of investing in Thailand by buying a new property (condominium unit, owned by Thai nationals over 51%).

A few sources states that not only the investor but also the investorā€™s family members are eligible for the investment visa.

Is it the correct information? And if it is, how does it actually work?

- Buying/ Investing under all the family membersā€™ names or just under 1 (investorā€™s) name?

- Where could I find the legitimate source of information concerning Thailand Investment Visa?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers.

entering on a tourist exemption visa and hopefully will change it over to a marriage visa, I am aware I have to have 400,000 in a Thailand bank account for 2 months before I can apply for marriage visa,

my question is can I spend the 400,000 after marriage visa is granted or does it have to stay in the bank so that every year when I go to immigration they have to see the money in the account?

I qualify for a retirement visa but don't want to keep 800,000 bht money in the bank and I don't want to prove income. I struck upon the idea of getting an investors visa as I have a condo that qualifies me for it. I am asking on this site if anyone has firsthand experience getting it and renewing it every year. Is it a good alternative to retirement visa. Thanks for any help.
