Can I fix a non-IB visa stamp in Bangkok instead of Nong Khai?

Hello!

I have a question regarding the Non Imm B visa.

I am going to be employed by a BOI company.

I have applied and obtained my Non Imm B visa in Vientiane.

I then proceeded to the immigration and obtained a stamp on my passport where the office wrote Non B on the stamp.

My HR in my company tells me that the stamp is not valid and that I should get a Non IB stamp. She also says that I need to get to the origin place where the mistake was made to fix it (which is Nong Khai, I am in Bangkok)

Is it true? Can I fix the stamp in Bangkok?

Thank you for your help

Robin

TLDR : Answer Summary
Robin has a Non Imm B visa obtained in Vientiane, but the immigration stamp says Non B instead of Non IB. His HR believes this is a mistake and that he must go back to Nong Khai to correct it. The community suggests that direct correction in Bangkok is unlikely but recommends consulting with the BOI office in Chamchuri to explore options.

Quick question that may be a bit silly, but what about just adding myself an "I" before the "B"?

What would be the risk of that?

, it could be kind of counterfeiting of official documents and just modifying the letter on the stamp cannot change your entry record on the system.

Out of interest when did they start putting non IB on entries under a non B visa? In the past I have had many non B visas and in every case my entry stamp was marked non B.

, no, you wouldn't get "non-IB" stamp with Non-B visa. Only when you enter on a Non-IB visa (which needs approval from BOI).

Sorry. I just read his comment which just talked about a non B visa. I understand now after looking at the photo😁

Highly doubtful that you can correct that entry stamp in Bangkok, especially with BOI OSOS at Chamchuri.

All you can do is go to Chamchuri to ask them as no downside to doing it.

If they say you can apply to proceed with an extension application with that visa and stamp, you should be fine. If they say you need to correct the current stamp to Non-IB, you have no choice other than to go to the entry point to get it fixed.

I don't think OSOS would do anything with your entry stamp.
