[Visa Extension] I did my research just have some confirmation questions. I'm a US citizen, I came to Thailand on 8/29 so my 30 day is up on 9/29. I'm in Pattaya.

1. Getting all my paperwork in order before I go in person to the Chonburi Immigration Office on Soi 5 in Jomtien.

Copy passport data page

Copy of entry stamp

Passport Photo

(Can I just print them Online/Fill them out then bring them in person. I see there is a Chonburi Immigration Mobile App, can I fill them out and submit them on the App?)

Copy of TM6 departure card

Fill out form TM7

TM30 (I am staying with a friend and don't have a lease or proof of rental, what else can I provide)

1,900 baht for payment

2. WHAT exactly is the Chonburi Immigration android mobile app useful for?

3. I will print forms, get photocopies, complete it all at home tomorrow then go in person on 8/27 (my 30 day expires 8/29)

HOPE to get it completed in 1 trip in person.

4. Let's say I go in soon as they open at 830am

What time should I be expected to finish by? (How many hours is the wait/completion typically?)

Is there an optimal time to go in with Minimal wait time?

5. I guess this will extend my stay for another 30 days, 10/29/22. Can I extend longer than 30 days or is there an easier long term Visa Option that I can do or start while I'm at the Office?

Thanks in Advance 🙏🏽

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a US citizen in Thailand, is looking for guidance on extending their visa before its expiration. They have listed the necessary paperwork and asked about the Chonburi Immigration mobile app's functionality, expected wait times at the office, and options for a longer-term visa. Responses suggest that the extension process typically takes an hour and confirm the documentation requirements. The chat also clarifies the expiration date of the user's stay.

Also, your questions reference:

" I will print forms, get photocopies, complete it all at home tomorrow then go in person on
****
(my 30 day expires
****
)"

I think you meant a different month.

I found the Android app to be pointless except that it will keep you informed where you stand in the queue. Hence, you get your ticket then sit on the beach until your number is called (well before your number is called). The app offers some other features but nobody seem to know anything about them (setting appointments for example).

Copy passport data page (signed by you)

Copy of entry stamp (signed by you)

Copy of TM6 departure card (signed by you) *if you were issued one

Fill out form TM7 (available at the office)

Passport photo (most offices have facilities on site or nearby)

Some offices may ask for a filed TM30. Some won’t bother.

1,900 baht

I suggest you check your passport for the expiry date of your permission to stay. If you arrived as you say on
****
then the 30 days are up on
****
(
****
counts as day 1)

Better to go asap! Monday.

No experience with that office, but generally should be done within an hour tops. Probably closer to half that. If you came in in August then you won’t have a TM6.

Maximum extension from a visa exempt is 30 days.

There are other options if you want to stay long term, but they’ll generally involve either have money banked in Thailand or for you to pay a school for an education visa. If you give more details about yourself then we can advise on options.
