Hi. When i apply for my 1 year extension retirement visa in thailand ...I dont need to show immigration that I have international health insurance right? I do have travel insurance...but i dont need to show any international health insurance? Is that correct?
Hello. I'm applying for the DTV via soft power. My soft power activity offers a visa service for ฿5k. Will hiring this service help to ensure my DTV gets approved? Here are the requirements via the Chicago Embassy, which I would be applying out of online.
It just says "a copy of a recent bank statement". It doesn't give any number of months required. I have 2 months of statements showing a good amount over ฿500k.
I'm currently not employed but receive government benefits which are reflected on my bank statements and are substantial enough to support me while I'm in Thailand. My soft power activity told me this wouldn't be a problem.
Just wondering if the service offers a higher likelihood of approval for me or not, or if I should try to apply on my own.
So what is the actual real consequence if you never filed the 90 day report and then just leave when you’re six months is up? Besides the monetary fine. Edit : i’m very sick and I cannot leave my apartment for like the last four days, I know that I’m late and tomorrow is gonna be like the last day of the grace Period Apparently, but unfortunately, I’m alone here, I kinda need to take care of myself and make sure I don’t die instead of worrying about like following like all of the rules, I just wanna know because like I don’t wanna go to jail or anything like that which it seems very unlikely from what people say, but honestly, the people who are unhelpful I wish they could just not comment sometimes it’s a very big problem in this country. Everyone wants to tell people what to do and sometimes I don’t even know what they’re talking about and they have no compassion care but people might be going through underneath. You guys saying that you came here because you like the Thai people and how polite and everything they are but why you act a little bit more like them then? Why have you lived here all this time and you’re still this like broken person from the west that like has no understanding no compassion no empathy. You’re basically just living off of their land and trying to tell me what their rules are and you’re just a guest here too, and I’m really tired of in these groups, but to the people who gave me genuine answers I really do appreciate it because I’m kind of in a bad situation
I’m planning to move to Thailand on the DTV softpower within the next 2 months and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations from those who’ve gone through the process recently.
We are moving from Ireland and I’m specifically seeking mental health support in Bangkok. I have a CPTSD diagnosis and will need longer-term treatment ideally with a psychiatrist or counsellor who has experience in trauma and expat care. Also needs to be in English.
Has anyone here been granted a DTV visa for reasons related to mental health treatment? I’d love to hear about your experience if you’re comfortable sharing. Any hospital or clinic recommendations (public or private) and specific doctors you’ve found helpful would be amazing.
Also, my partner is applying as well, and is looking for recommendations for Muay Thai training in Bangkok.
Thanks so much in advance and I’m looking forward to hearing from you all.
