I'm a German national without permanent residency and want to apply for a DTV through their website.

The only thing that I worry about is the last part "Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status."

I have a US LLC through which I sell online coaching and writing services.

What would be best to supply there? I have:

* proof that the US LLC is registered in my name

* past invoices from clients

* I could write a certificate in the name of the company to prove I can work remotely

* a website that's currently offline but would be easy to set to live

Anything else I could/should include?

Thanks!

What did you provide as part of your application for the bank statements? Were paper statements printed by the bank required or were you able to use a PDF electronic statement generated by the bank's app or website?

This question will be about an unusual 90 day check-in situation.

My next 90 day check-in is due in 24 November. I just renewed my passport (new number), then I received my one year visa extension, with multiple entry permit.

I'm visiting S Korea for a few days next week, returning to Thailand on 24 October.

I know that under normal circumstances, my first 90 day check-in after visa extension must be done in person AND the clock resets on the 90 day check-in from the day I return from Korea, making the new in-person 90 check-in date 24 February.

Since I have a new passport number, does that change anything?

# DTV Update: HCMC Approved!

I'm in HCMC right now and just picked up my DTV today.

Here's what I did to prepare:

- Scheduled my appt at the HCMC Thail consulate 3 weeks ahead of my trip

- Pre-filled the visa app from HCMC Thai consulate

- Printed out my American business license/LLC paperwork

- Printed out 2 client contracts with my American biz name/address shown (matched LLC paperwork)

- Printed out 6mos of bank statements with 500k+ baht showing for all 6 mos

- Printed out my HCMC hotel confirmation

- Had visa pics printed and ready

- Had precisely $340 USD in crisp bills

What they did when I arrived that you can do ahead of time:

- Had me glue my picture to my visa app

- Highlighted the ending bank account summary amount for each month

What issue I ran into:

- One of my USD bills had a tiny bit of ink on it - they asked me to exchange it for a "clean" one. I popped over to a currency converter shop and exchanged it, and was able to get back in line without an appointment.

Visa approval + pickup

- They processed all the paperwork with the "clean" bills in 5 minutes and gave me a slip to pick up my passport with the new DTV in 48 hours. (This means you're officially "approved")

- Two days later, I returned the slip and instantly picked up my passport, which included DTV.

*NOTE: The HCMC Thai Consulate visa center is a tiny container office outside.*

I hope this helps!

DTV approved in Hanoi. Easy process, courteous staff.

Made an appointment online though it doesn't seem to matter, there's been almost no people there the few times I've been.

Docs they wanted were:

* 6 months of bank statements

* employment contract (the staff made me believe it needs to explicitly state "remote work" - mine didn't but apparently it's not necessary as it went through)

* apartment lease in Hanoi (a hotel booking would also work) as proof of current location - apparently my physical presence in the embassy or the stamps in my passport weren't proof enough that I'm actually there

* deposit slip for accommodation rental or hotel booking in Thailand

* filled out application (had to write in DTV because it's not yet an actual category on the official visa application :D) and photo

* $340 - I paid attention to give very clean bills, they didn't really check their integrity at all

... That's it. Done in 2 days. Here at least, they look at face value at whatever you submit, there are no deeper checks.

Grab it while it's hot, not sure how long a deal like this can last before it becomes apparent that it's too cheap and too relaxed criteria.

DTV Application - Online.

[members only]

Processed by the Thai Embassy, London.

I applied under the ‘company director’ option.

I sent them the following;

Full UK companies house registration document. I also attached a letter stating I am the sole director of this company and I offer online business development services and that I work remotely and I wish to work remotely in Thailand hence the reason for this visa application.

The name of my Ltd company also states ‘ online services’

I sent 1 bank statement showing the funds required.

I used my driving licence as proof of UK address.

I sent name, address and contact details of the landlord of the rental property I would be staying at in Thailand

After 2 days there was a request for further documents;

Other request documents: - Self assessment tax return 2023-2024 / Statement of accounts / Accountant's letter / Personal tax calculation or computation statement from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)

Other request documents: - A copy of your bank statement printed out with the authorization by the bank . Please ask your bank to print out those and take the picture and upload to support your application.

I replied with a letter from my accountant and a photo of the same bank statement, just printed out and not the PDF version.

2 days later, visa approved.

This was a very very simple process for.

I hope this helps some others who are applying.

Hi everyone.

My wife and myself both have the new DTV visa's.

We have generally spent our winters in Phuket, bouncing in and out. So we've never had a visa in the past.

My question is,,

How do you show you have this visa on arrival?

Will immigration know, or is there some system what flags our passports as visa holders?

Or,,,

Do we need a paper/email copy of the visa?

Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help/explain.
