What proof of location is needed when applying for a visa from my home country?
Referring to the guides for applying, if you are applying from your home country do you need to provide proof of location beyond just an address? Such as photos where you're staying etc. I actually just travelled back to Australia after being away for 3 months to tend to some things and do the dtv application.

It's going to depend on the consulate, some want residency, some don't. London wanted a utility bill or drivers license with UK/Ireland address on it. Canberra seems to ask for the same.

In your home country, they tend to want things like driver's license, utility bills, apartment rental contract, etc. They all should have the same address. When I applied in the US, gave my driver's license, most recent car lease payment, and car insurance proof of coverage card.
