Hi all,

Planning to apply DTV Soft Power (Muay Thai) at Thai Embassy in Hanoi.

When submitting bank statements in Hanoi, did you only provide the ending balance / summary version, or did you need to include full transaction history?

Any recent 2026 experiences? Thanks!

Hello everyone,

Hello 👋

I’m currently preparing my application for the DTV Soft Power visa with a Muay Thai school. The school told me that my profile could be considered “high risk” for rejection because they can only issue a 6-month training program, and immigration authorities assess the credibility and consistency of the applicant’s plan. They also mentioned that while it’s technically possible to leave Thailand earlier than planned, it would be at my own risk and not recommended.

The thing is, my plan is not to stay continuously. I’d like to come and go, staying 2 to 4 months at a time over the 5-year period.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Could I run into issues when re-entering Thailand if I don’t follow the initial training plan strictly?

Also, do you know of any more flexible schools — especially in Koh Samui — that are used to this kind of setup?

Thanks a lot for your help!

“Has anyone successfully applied for DTV Soft Power using golf training (not Muay Thai)? Looking for experience from anyone who got approved with a sports training program other than Muay Thai.”

DTV Soft Power — Hanoi ✅

* Applied late evening 10th March, approved before 1pm 16th March (4 business days)

* Only document request was a photo taken within last 6 months. I'd uploaded a passport photo, got flagged, resubmitted a selfie and no further issues

* Bank statements: I didn't include 3 full months, just mid January to the date I applied in March and that was accepted

* Hanoi airport immigration was rough, around 2 hour wait and disorganised queues. Apparently you can pay $30 to fast track

* Overall positive experience, happy to answer questions!

Will they ask for extra documents etc or an interview? Looking for the easiest application whilst also enjoying my wait. 🙏🏿🙂✌🏿

Would someone be willing to explain how to obtain a DTV Soft Power visa? Do I have to use an agency, or can I do it myself? What would I need to do? Thank you for any advice.
