For anyone needing to do their 90 day report on the DTV, I thought I’d share my experience for the first time at Koh Phangan office. I went around 2pm much quieter at this time. Documents I needed….
- TM30 (from landlord)
- TM47 (filled out at immigration)
- E-visa (printed out)
- Copy of passport (ID page and entry stamp page, copied at immigration)
Had to sign all pages.
I was given a ticket, waited 1 minute and all done. No cost. I was actually 1 day late and they were ok with that. They said I had 7 day grace period. They also said I could have submitted the report up to 15 days prior.
They mentioned from now on I can do my 90 day reporting online. They advised for online reporting it must be done either day before or on the day. It cannot be late it will be rejected. Also cannot be too early.
I’m Thai and my husband will need to apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa soon. We understand that we will have to leave Thailand to apply for it from a nearby country.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations on which neighboring country would be the easiest or most convenient for this process (I see on the group that Laos could be easy?)
Could anyone share their recent experiences regarding:
- Which country/embassy you used
- The application procedure (in person at the embassy or by evisa?)
- Processing time / waiting period
I have another question: an agent in Thailand told me that I can apply for an e-visa while he is in Thailand, and that once the visa is issued, he would need to leave the country and re-enter to activate it. Is that correct?
Any advice or tips would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!
April 1: Request for additional documents (bank statements from both my French and Wise accounts)
April 2: Pending Approval
April 9: Approved!
French citizen, freelance developer, applied through the e-Visa portal.
Two tips that I think helped:
I sent a polite follow-up email to consular.han@mfa.go.th asking about the timeline given Songkran holidays were approaching, got approved the next day.
I also messaged their official LINE account (@snz7050f) in Thai. Not sure if it made a difference but another member here did the same and got approved 2 hours later.
I used AI (Claude) to review my application, draft my cover letters, and prepare my follow-up messages, definitely helped avoid mistakes and keep everything professional.
Thank you to this group for all the shared experiences, reading other people's timelines kept me sane during the wait. Good luck to everyone still pending!
Just applied for a 60 day tourist visa last night , requirements where 3 months bank statement, round trip airline ticket, and condo or hotel accommodation, to my surprise already approved. Super easy and quick. I myself had been in thailand 150+ days in 2025, but did the right thing and was granted access thanks to everyone in the group.
