Hi sorry BUT WHATS A ,,TM30 for?do I have me to do as well when I get to Thailand??? HELP,, sorry?have a E-VISA for single entry.60 day,,,
Answer summary
A TM30 is a mandatory registration process for foreigners upon their arrival at a residence in Thailand. It is usually submitted by the landlord or hotel within 24 hours of a foreigner's check-in. Although tourists typically do not need to take action regarding a TM30 unless they intend to extend their visa, it is crucial for obtaining any extensions or changes to the visa. If you have a 60-day e-Visa and no plans to extend, you may not need to worry about the TM30.

You seem to be confusing standard procedures.
*** a TM30 is the registration of your arrival and presence in an accommodation.
It must be submitted to the TM30 online system of the Thai Immigration, or on the physical presence in the Immigration office, by the landlord or hotel within 24 hours of the arrival of you in the premises. If you or your landlord misses it, you can get fined 2000 THB at the Immigration office.
While in theory the landlord or the hotel must pay the fine, it is always you who has to pay before you are allowed to leave the office. Then you need to get lucky to get your money back.
*** and only if you are already properly registered by a TM30, you can visit Immigration and apply for a “certificate of residence”, for a touristic 30-days extension or for a “1-year extension of stay”
The following question comes up a lot and in theory (at least how the rules are written) yes, you file a new TM30 every time you return from abroad even if you are returning to your same residence
BUT
In practicality it's much more dependent on the immigration office you use.
Some say as long as you're coming back to your primary residence (the one you use for extensions/90 day reporting etc) that you do not need to refile a new TM30
BUT
Some stick pretty close to the rules and say yes, you must file a new TM30 every time you return from abroad no matter if you're returning to your same address or not
If you have the eVisa and have no intention of getting an extension at immigration then you have no need of a TM30.
The TM30 is lodged by your hotel or landlord to identify a foreigner staying at their premises. You only need it if you want to get extensions or other changes to your visa. Most tourists don’t even know it exists.
Jørgen Skjødt Yes it’s a legal requirement. But you don’t need a copy unless you need services at immigration.
But you don’t need to lodge one as a tourist as the hotel or your landlord are obliged to do this. If you own a property in Thailand and are staying there then you are the landlord, so yes you lodge one.
However, most tourists would be quite unaware of its existence.
Let's Thailand know that your staying where you said you would be on your visa. Hotel does it for you, otherwise landlord sets it up and you report it each time you enter Thailand. 😉
Christopher Chapin " and you report it each time you enter Thailand" . . . .what does a TM30 have to do with entering Thailand? YOU don't "report" or register a TM30. Your landlord or your hotel does that
Dean Hinder this form must only be done when you enter Thailand each time. If your on retirement visa and don't leave you don't need to renew unless you travel out of the country and return. Non o retirement most just keep up 90 days reporting if you don't leave the country.
