TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discusses various travel and health insurance options for Australians on a DTV (Thai Digital Nomad Visa). Recommendations include Genki Insurance, Allianz for comprehensive coverage, and 1Cover Travel Insurance, which has a positive experience shared by a user. Additionally, a personal insurance agent in Chiang Mai is offered as a trustworthy contact.
Hi mate I have a great broker been on samui for a long time. He is through our business networking lunch group and we raise money for local Thai charities and he is one of our great partners that offers part of the commission back to our local charity fundraising to help groups such as the amazing rotary program that takes disabled Thai kids swimming etc.
, they were brilliant for us in January, both my husband and I ended up in Bangkok hospital in Phuket as we caught phumonia, had fluid on the lungs, influenza type 1 and 2, my husband had blood poisoning, and we had a bad viral infection, 1cover paid out straight away, even checked in daily to see how we were doing
