Can my husband sponsor me as a dependent on his DTV visa with a sponsorship letter instead of needing separate funds?

My husband has a DTV and I will apply as a dependant. Will be applying through London embassy. Could he write a letter to say he will be sponsoring me financially and show that he has minimum £12k in his savings or do we have to show that we both have £12k each in our account?
Answer summary
When applying for a dependent visa in Thailand, your husband can indeed write a letter stating that he will financially sponsor you. However, the financial requirement typically states that he must show sufficient funds, usually equivalent to 500,000 THB (about £12,000) for each person applying. This means he would need a total of at least 1,000,000 THB in savings if he's sponsoring you. Alternatively, if you both can demonstrate the funds sharing or one joint account, that may suffice for the application.

Yes he can write a sponsorship letter but in that case he will need 12k £ for both of you which is 24k £ total

A sponsorship letter is enough. You do not need the 1 million like some others have suggested

I believe the Embassy in London has stated that they require 500k per person above the age of 16 so in this case the account will need to have the equivalent of 1m baht.

I have DTV, softpower medical, and my husband has the spouse dependant, he supports me financially and yes he wrote me a letter stating so, we only have a joint account, one savings account and one everyday account, he mentioned in the letter about it as I'm not working and earning a wage or getting any government assistance, I cannot open my own account (we are Australian). My visa was approved, it was nearly 2 years ago, so hopefully if your husband's letter explains everything, you should be approved too, we did need to have the

If you don’t have 12k in your own account you would have to get him to write a sponsorship letter but he would need to show a minimum of 24k to show he can support both of you while in Thailand.

Both of you would need a minimum of the equivalent of 500,000 THB each. However, he can write a letter to say he will be sponsoring you financially, but he would then need a minimum of 1,000,000 THB.

A sponsorship is enough or a letter stating that you share assets
