If both parents have DTV and kid is in born in thailand, how do we get VISA for the baby? How will it work?
Answer summary
To obtain a visa for a baby born in Thailand to parents with DTV (Dependent Visa Thailand), the first step is to secure a passport for the child from your home country’s embassy. Following that, you will need to return to your home country to apply for a dependent DTV visa for the baby. It's advisable to have documentation such as the child's birth certificate, parents' DTV visa copies, and evidence of sufficient funds (minimum 500,000 THB) ready for the application process. Currently, children under 15 may have lenient policies regarding overstays, but it's important to ensure all paperwork is properly completed to avoid legal issues.

You fly to your home country and apply for a depentent DTV for the baby
Meantime, get a passport for your baby @ your embassy. When you exit to refresh your 180days, its best to go to your country of citizenship and apply for the baby's DP DTV. It maybe linient as of now for the baby to come in/out without DP DTV but its always best to go for proper documentation for legal purposes. Just a pre-caution, baby might soon end up getting a visa on artival for 30days. A lot of changes are going on. Its always best to be on the safest side. Baby requires addtl 500k Baht in your bank account. The decision is yours .... Best of luck!
Short answer, now that the DTV requirements have changed and you apply in your home country you can't get them a Visa until they have a passport and until they go back to their home country and apply as dependents under your DTV
The good news is children under 15 are not fine for overstay and children under 18 are not banned so you can let them overstay for many years without any issue bringing them in and out of the country without problem once they have a passport
First, you need to get a passport for the kid from your embassy. That is going to depend on the particular laws and policies of your country/embassy. Then you need to apply in your home country for a dependent DTV visa for the kid.
This is just my fb knowledge....but I think kids under 15...again facebook knowledge....kids under 15 have a loophole for overstay...or being born there. I just saw this question pop up a few weeks ago.
Application Requirements: Applying for a child's DTV requires submitting a birth certificate showing the parents' information, the parents' valid DTV visas, photographs, passports, and financial evidence (such as a bank statement showing a minimum balance of 500,000 THB or proof of sponsorship).
PeppyOctopus1213 applying home country vs neighbouring country is diff ball game, lao , viet close potentially, and who can apply for newborn passport before it's born ? Idiot 🤣
SavvyDragon8136 I agree but that is how current rules are written. There is no overstay implications for a minor currently. I do not know how it works but do you need to get them a home country passport then get registered at immigration? I would consult a lawyer or good agent. Good luck and I am sure it will work out.
