I'm applying for a DTV spouse/dependent visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and just received a request for additional documents. I would really appreciate your insights.
Here's the situation:
I submitted my bank statement (6 months), my husband's bank statement (also 6 months), and his financial sponsorship letter. Now the consulate is asking for:
"Provide financial sponsorship letter along with transaction for 6 months and account balance not less than 500,000 baht."
I'm confused because I already provided exactly that - a sponsorship letter and both of our bank statements showing consistent activity and sufficient funds.
They also asked:
"Will you stay in Thailand continuously for 5 years? Are you currently working? If yes, please provide info. If not, what are your plans for the next 5 years in Thailand?"
I'm not sure what exactly they're looking for or if this usually means a likely rejection.
Has anyone experienced something similar at the HCM consulate (or elsewhere)?
Hi - I’m looking at applying for a DTV but instead of the 500,000 THB in my personal account I will be using a financial sponsor through a family member (a parent). Has anyone here got any specific advice that I should be looking to include that might not be as obvious for when I apply that ChatGPT wouldn’t be telling me?
Also which embassy did you use if you chose this option as not all embassies accept this option (HCMC for example looks like it might be 50/50 whether or not they accept financial sponsorship for the visa)
I've just returned after a[nother] month in Thailand & can't go back for six months. Boo-hoo!
I'm thinking of trying to bring my girl over to the UK on a tourist visa. However, she's got no job & owns no property. I own my own home in the UK & have 'enough' dosh & would be happy to 'vouch' for her & pay for a return ticket.
Can anyone with experience please tell me about the realistic prospects of getting her a visa ... preferably without having wrestle [burocratic & legal] crocodiles?
