Good morning. Thanks for being there. Iā€™m a US citizen married to a Thai National. I arrived in Thailand on January 18th for a family visit with a 90 day single entry Non-Imm O Visa. While in Thailand I have two out of country trips planned. When reviewing my passport I realized I was running out of pages. I went to the US Embassy and ordered and received a new passport. I also received a letter from the Embassy asking Thailand immigration to transfer my stamp to the new passport. The new passport issue date is January 25th. The letter from the US Embassy to Thai immigration is dated February 20th, the day I picked it up. My understanding was given that the Visa was single entry it didnā€™t make sense to transfer the visa to the new passport. So I didnā€™t. Instead, I thought I could carry both passports, the canceled one and new one to prove I have the visa and reenter the country after both my first and second trips exempt tourist within the 30 day windows. Could someone advise if my understanding is correct? My concern is that immigration will say the visa expired the issue date of the new passport which would put me in a 50+ day overstay. My first trip is next week. I could run to immigration today if needed. Thanks for your help.
