As a DTV holder has anyone been asked for proof of a return flight to their home country or onward travel (once the 180 days is up) when they’ve arrived in Thailand. Is it OK to arrive on a one way ticket?
I've received my 'workcation' DTV, and I'll be landing next week for the first time on the visa from the UK. I've reached out to the consulate which approved it in London with a few questions, but haven't received a reply yet.
1. For the proof of funds they asked for during the application, do I need to bring the bank statements with me to show at immigration when I arrive each time? (I assume I'll have to do this the first time I arrive).
2. Do I need a return/outward flight booked? I'm not sure when I'll be heading back yet, or which country I'll be travelling onwards to!
Hi . Travelling to Bangkok on a non immigrant o spouse visa ( 90 days ) issued by thai embassy in Uk . What purpose of travel should I put and do I need to put a return flight date ? Tanks
Hi. Most people here are asking about documents related to things like work. I have a different question – flights. Every 1.5-2 months, due to personal matters, I'll need to return to my home country for about a week. So, I need a long-term visa, but my stay in Thailand won't exceed 80/90 days. When applying for a visa, I'm asked to provide a return flight. I have few questions:
1) What if I don't have a return flight yet? I plan to move to Thailand permanently in February next year and have a one-way flight.
2) Does my departure from Thailand have to be a return flight to my home country in Europe, or can it even be to a nearby country in Asia? What if I don't use that flight?
3) What if I buy a return flight and it will be for about two months after my arrival date? Will they still consider me a DTV, or will they force me to apply for a different type of visa?
Which flight did you put into the form? Did they want any confirmation of booking?
I am filling in my TDAC right now. I am coming back from the UK as I live on Koh Phangan but it's asking me for a return journey details. Do I have to have a return flight even tho I'm not leaving and will be staying in Thailand? I've lived there 5 years now, coming back as a tourist and will then obtain an elite visa, as my non O visa expired
I just realised my Return Flight is 92 days after arriving 12/6 leave 12/09. I am planning to go to Vietnam at some stage maybe early August. As the Vietnam trip isnt planned am i going to have issues on Thursday.
I am Vietnamese and want to apply DTV visa, but I heard that if you are Vietnamese or Asian, you will be difficult to entrance Thailand without the flight back even you got a DTV.
Does some has the same issue? Please share! Thanks
I think we have to enter our return flight back to Thailand in the DTV application, is that correct? Here's my question... Since the expected processing time will vary and I haven't received an answer yet, I may need to change my flight to a different day. But does that matter, if my departure flight date I enter on the application ends up being past the approval date and I end up flying back on a later date?
