Thanks for the help on my previous post regarding upcoming tourist visa changes. I'm clear now on what to do. However at the risk of sounding a bit thick I do have another question.
Although the changes are not yet in force it appears that I can get a 60 day tourist e visa and whilst in Thailand I can apply for a 30 day extension at a cost of 1900 baht. I also understand this but how is this supposed to work practically? On my initial 60 day visa I have to show flight confirmation which shows that I will return to UK within 60 days. Who on earth would then extend for another 30 days as it would mean cancelling your return flight and rebooking another flight at considerable cost.? Or am I missing something?
