Has anyone had the experience where they got the DTV on their new passport but are still using their old passport as it still has space. What was the procedure when arriving in Thailand?

I'm applying for a sticker visa and i need to show accomodation for 60 days. my plan is to wing it on the go. so booking for 60 days doesn't seem reasonable to me. any recommendations on how to go about this? i am aware that maybe I can do bookings that offer cancellations but in case that's not an option. thanks!

Indian Passport Holder, Already In Thailand On Arrival Visa which is about to finish, i need suggestion exit - entry or any suggestions from which countries easily we can apply for Sticker Visa Except (Home country India - Far/Costly ) any nearby Countries Lao, Vietnam or any suggestions for Visa Extension or Change.
