Can I use a bus ticket instead of a flight ticket for a 90-day sticker visa to Thailand?

Hello all, looking for some clarification on the sticker visa for Thailand

I am an Indian citizen, and I want to apply for the 90 day sticker visa. VFS here asks for air ticket in and out of Thailand, but I plan to exit Thailand by land border. Is there any option to submit a bus ticket or something else instead?

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Indian citizen seeking a 90-day sticker visa for Thailand is inquiring whether it's acceptable to present a bus ticket for exit instead of a flight ticket, as VFS requests a plane ticket. Responses suggest that while VFS specifies a flight ticket, in practice, some have successfully used bus or train tickets. Alternatives include purchasing an inexpensive onward flight ticket or using services that provide temporary flight reservations.

In theory you can sometimes use a bus or train ticket out, but if VFS says it wants a plane ticket then that’s what they want. Buy a cheap one way Phuket to Singapore or Bangkok to Cambodia or use Google for “onward flight” services for a ticket for around $10.
