Hi.

Couple of questions,,,

1. How long before arrival in Thailand is it ok to apply for a non-o retierment visa? Can I apply 10-11 weeks before arrival?

(want good time to fix a few things before I go)

2. I read some place that the 65k a month confirmation from the embassy dont work for the 1st 1year extension. Does this apply no matter what country you are from or just some countries?

(Btw, Im norwegian)

3.I have been in Thailand 2 times already this year on 30 visa exempt. One I stayed 19 days, the other 28 days. Will this be an issue to enter again with a propper visa?

🤔

Hi all,

Does anyone have experiences to report good or bad with entering Thailand either by land or air for the 4th time this year? I realize it depends on the individual officer at the border etc but I'm just trying to get an idea of how likely I am to be accepted/refused. I'm a Canadian traveling on a Canadian passport.

More info: Have been taking an extended holiday after not being able to travel for 3 years during covid time. Entered initially at BKK by air, then went out at Satun by land, then went a few days to Singapore and came back to Krabi by air.

I'm wondering if I'm risking getting refused and it's better to do another trip across the border via Satun, or just to take a little two week trip or so to Penang or something similar, but then I'm worried if I risk being refused at the airport coming back in. Not intending to stay in Thailand past that, planning to leave in early Jan to head back home to Canada. Thanks for any info!

Last year, I went to CM immigration and did everything to get a one year extension based on Thai family/marriage to Thai husband. My original visa was ED, extended for Covid, then supposedly extended for Thai family.

I moved to Jomtien and today went to Pattaya immigration. They said there is no note for Thai family in my passport and that I can’t extend based on marriage. I have to leave the country and start over (which I already have plans to do so that part is fine).

But they also said I need to get a new passport first. They said my current stamps would prevent me from getting a NON-O because I did something illegal/wrong (since CM gave me one year extension apparently based on ED, not Thai family). Do I need to worry about getting a new passport?

The lady was in a terrible mood, basically yelling at us as soon as we sat down, so I’m not sure if she was just being like that or I actually need to attempt to get a new passport.

Hi everyone, a question about incorrect stamps. A friend of mine recently went to extend her 60 day TR visa (Swiss passport). As I understand it, thou must first get the normal 30 day extension before applying for any covid 60 day.

However, she was given a stamp for 60 days. I received 30 days with my British passport at the same immigration office in Ko Phangan (we went on the same day when everyone was doing there last minute covid extensions).

So I presume her 60 day stamp might have been an administrative error. I don’t want her to have any issues if she goes again after 60 days and attempts another extension/ or even leaves but after the time period of what the stamp should have been.

Has she been blessed by an extra 30 days? Will there be any issues if she carries on as though it is effectively a 60 day official stamp? Or is it going to cause her definite problems upon exiting or extending if she uses the 60 days as per her stamp.

Thank you so much for your helpful advice as always 🙏🥰

Edit: her 60 days was due to expire on 4th feb. she was stamped until 6th April. so she got an extra 60 days as a normal extension to her 60 day TR Visa. (the extension should normally be only 30 days).

I'm not sure why admin rejected the post. Can she rely on the stamp and carry on as though she had a 60 day extension, or will she have to go to amend the stamp to 30 days?

Hello everyone!

I have a non b visa, that originally expire date is end of Jan 2021, but my contract at work expire at the end of october, so my visa will be canceled. In this situation, my husband visa non o type, will still be valid until end of Jan 2021 or is automatically canceled?

Thank you all

Hello-

I am on a Non O-A visa that will expire Oct 13,2020. My husband is on Non O (follow visa) that expires May 18, 2020. We just went to immigration to get his extended. He was denied because:

- I don’t have health insurance

- I don’t have a bank book solely in my name

- I need to show proof of pension only in my name

- we transfer monthly over THB 65k into our BKK bank account and immigration says it needs to be double this amount

- our bank balance is not at least THB 400k

This is all new to us? I am not certain why he can’t get his Non O extended until at least the end of my Non O-A as this was already approved?

Thank you in advance for your insights
