report from suvannakhet thai embassy.

This story happened this morning to my Chinese friend.

She applied for thai tourist visa in September2022 in suvannakhet and stayed till few days ago in Thailand then went to suvannakhet again. She tried to apply for another tourist visa there but the staff in embassy told her that she can only apply for one tourist visa per year so she failed.

This is my first time to hear about this rule so would like to share here in case anyone may find it helpful.šŸ˜ŠšŸ™

Couple of question so im currently on my first SETV this year and was wondering is it okay to apply again or there's a possibility of getting denied?

And also has the 365 days Edu Visa application rule still the same or it has been changed?

Just an update for anyone from U.K. applying for visas

I usually apply for spouse visa

Non Imm O

They have changed the rules and must supply bank statements that show Ā£1500 per month going in for 3 months

This is more than the average wage for some folk

I spoke to the Thai embassy in London and they said in an email reply that it just needs to show Ā£1500 in savings but the website states different

I definitely donā€™t have Ā£1500 going in any of my accounts but do have Ā£2000 saved up which I recently put into my bank

So fingers crossed I will get a yes

Otherwise I think Iā€™ll have to wait further and get an ED visa for when I study the TEFL course and sign up to study Thai language local to me in Chiang Rai

What are peopleā€™s thoughts on this ?
