What is the current approval timeline for the Thai DTV workation visa through the London Embassy?

1. Document from my employer stating that i worked remotely at times and frequently left the country to travel to work worldwide.

2. My actual work contract.

3. Bank statement which showed over 500,000 baht. It was in revolut but statement showed conversion.

Also or showed that I had been paid over 70,000 per month for around 6 months.. but balance of 0 was inly about 5 days old... BUT IT DID SHOW CONSISTENT PAYMENTS FROM SAME EMPLOYER AS LETTER FOR 6 MONTHS..

4. I wrote a letter to thai embassy stating nature of my work and that I WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN ANY WORK WITH A THAI COMPANY OR CLIENT WHILST IN THAILAND.

5. Usual id docs. Drivers license bank statement from my country of residence.

6. A flight ticket

Was asked for additional documents. Flight ticket i think... then the page did not give any update other than document check pending.. I thought it was gone but at some rindim time like 02:23 in the morning e mail said approved.

As I'm doing mine through an agency, I imagine they (working Thai Time) will only let me know a day after mine is approved, therefore knowing when yours is approved (which is essentially the same timescales as my application) would be really useful.

Hello thanks for sharing timeline London embassy is quite busy in October.

Pending Approval usually means documents check passed and now waiting for senior officer to sign. For London workcation DTV many saw three to seven working days from Pending Approval to Approved in recent October applications. Some who submitted early October got approval in four days after extra docs. Since yours changed on fourteen October and now twenty October you are still inside normal range with weekend in between.

If no update by twenty two October you can send polite email to Thai Embassy London visa team with your reference number and ask for status. Do not send many emails because it can slow process. Check spam folder also because approval email sometimes goes there.

I applied on 6 October and received additional documents request later that same day. I sent documents on 7 October and it changed to pending approval on 8 October and then I received email approval on 11 October.

My partner submitted his on 5 October and received additional documents request on 6 October (he had to wait for his boss to send him what he needed so wasn’t able to submit until 13 October. His changed to pending approval on 15 October and status hasn’t changed since.

Use search including Embassy name, you are asking questions that has been answered numerous times.

Those status messages doesn’t tell you anything useable about when you get your application approved/rejected.

You have to read the Embassy website thoroughly and take into account the right now is high season for visa applications.

Additional Documents reset the time counting back to 0, at the day the documents are submitted.

Some Embassies process according to travel date ( to the bennefit of the applicant) rathed than application date.

My son's recent application timelines:

1. DTV was applied for on Monday 5th Oct

2. Additional Information requested (& uploaded) on Tuesday 6th

3. Moved to "Pending Approval" on Friday 9th afternoon

4. DTV approved on Sunday 11th

So less than 1 week from submission of application to approval.

The APCO criminal record check took 1 month to come through.... applied for on 28th August, received in post on 28th Sept.

Done mine 26th September, requested more info which was sent and still pending!

Hi, we submitted on 6th October, request for more docs, and we submitted them, on 9th October, changed to pending approval on 15th October, and no change since.

I did mine in August and it took 3 days all together from start to finish, with a request for more docs in the middle

My timeline is almost identical to yours, and via London. ISSA Compass (agent) submitted 8th October, additional docs requested 11th October (a Sunday), I provided docs on Monday 12th October but the agent was closed for Thai holiday so submitted them to the Embassy on 13th October. I can't see the 'pending approval status etc' as I did it through an agent, however as of today I'm still waiting. My flight is on the 29th, therefore it's squeaky bum time :-).
