Answer summary
The user applied for a 60-day Thai visa with intended travel dates from December 3rd to January 30th, but received a visa with incorrect dates (October 26th to January 23rd). A commenter clarifies that visa dates are not selected during application; instead, they're based on intended travel dates and the visa's validity upon issuance. This means the visa becomes effective immediately and must be utilized within a certain time frame.

You don't apply for a Thai Visa with any dates. They ask what your intended travel dates are to ensure they fit within how long a visa lasts for. Once a visa is issued by Thailand it is effective immediately and normally valid for 90 days. That means you must arrive and enter Thailand within those 90 days before the visa expires. When you enter Thailand, you'll receive your 60 day entry stamp starting the day you arrive.
