Hello group. I just got my second year extension on a NonO retirement visa originated here in Thailand. My question is it possible to go back to the US and qualify for this same visa showing a pension award letter and 12 months deposits to my US bank from my pension system exceeding $65,000 baht equivalent at the Thai embassy/consulate in LA? Anybody done it? How long did it take?
Hi everyone! DTV work action was rejected at Hanoi Embassy.
I submitted my application on the 30.9, got 3 emails asking for further documentation.
Now, in my case I had a non B visa & work permit, all of which was cancelled, expired & company ownership transferred to someone else via the lawyer I worked with.
Provided all the needed documents (bank statement with the funds, company letter, company registration outside Thailand, proof of source of income).
Then they asked for further information about work permit & business registration in Thailand - provided that alongside the proof of transfer of ownership & cancelled work permit.
Yet, it was rejected saying “not eligible for DTV, please apply for non B visa & work permit again.” Which is not the route for me as I don’t have any company anymore in Thailand.
Anyone experienced similar challenge? Any advise?
Going to the embassy tomorrow to ask for clarification…
Looking for an agent/agency that can help me with a DTV visa, I’ve seen both sides and I want to avoid rejection. Looking for those of you who’ve helped used an agent. I’ve seen a few comments recommending certain agencies but it’s usually a fake profile promoting their own business here.
I know I can do it myself, I don’t mind spending extra to make the process easier.
Yes im on anonymous because I don’t want certain people on my friends list to see my post
I'm applying at the KL embassy, i picked medical which may have been wrong, but i've been undergoing PRP/stem cell treatments on my knees and shoulders with ample proof for the last 6 months.
Anyways, I believe I can get those figured out, however, other request documents such as... Other request documents(Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc.)
baffles me. I currently do not have a lease agreement signed, as it would be crazy to sign a long term lease without knowing that i've been approved for the visa. How do i deal with this?
If you get asked for aninterview by the embassy, would they give you a specific time and date, or would there be a little flexibility in you scheduling one. I would like to travel a bit in the country I am in, but concerned with getting too far away from the embassy to get back in time if they set a specific time and date. Thanks. Maybe it is different for each embassy.
i have searched the group and found very little information about applying from India, one comment mentioned that foreigners can't apply for a dtv from India, that is only for Indians..
does any one know anything about this?
we were planning to apply from chennai...
please don't attack me for asking I did search the group already...*
Applied Embassy Washington DC. After one week asked for additional paperwork. This included tax returns and a letter stating self-employed as digital nomad.
Two weeks to the date, today received the approval.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. The process is very straightforward. Just in time for my flight leaving in 10 days🙌
Normally I would apply for a visa , Mon immigrant or tourist 60 days but here in the Netherlands the embassy said I have to apply in person and then go again to pick it up.
I think it's weird in these covid times.
Guess beter go to Bangkok and get a exemption visa. Is that still possible and can I get a 30/60 extension?
