hi 

i have searched the group and found very little information about applying from India, one comment mentioned that foreigners can't apply for a dtv from India, that is only for Indians..

does any one know anything about this? 

we were planning to apply from chennai... 

please don't attack me for asking I did search the group already...*

Email the consulate and ask them BEFORE you do apply though, because if you can't you and get rejected after you apply, you lose the application fee

You can apply from Chennai, you must submit a copy of your Indian visa with stamp. I am planning to apply by March from Chennai.

I guess 15 days for someone who applied from north of India. I guess no one from Chennai. Probably you or me could be first of the kind. I am applying through remote worker window.
