What are the best recommendations for agents to help with a DTV visa in Thailand?

Hello all,

Looking for an agent/agency that can help me with a DTV visa, I’ve seen both sides and I want to avoid rejection. Looking for those of you who’ve helped used an agent. I’ve seen a few comments recommending certain agencies but it’s usually a fake profile promoting their own business here.

I know I can do it myself, I don’t mind spending extra to make the process easier.

Yes im on anonymous because I don’t want certain people on my friends list to see my post

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking recommendations for trustworthy agents to assist with obtaining a DTV visa, expressing concerns about fake endorsements for certain agencies. Several community members share their experiences with various agents, including those who recommend doing the application process independently through the Thai e-visa website or the Thai embassy in Laos. Specific agencies and individuals who provide visa services and positive testimonials are mentioned, addressing the user's need for reliable assistance in avoiding rejection.

Okay, I'm someone who decided not to use an agent after living here for 3 years using an agent. Here's my advice...

If your not in Thailand, apply at the Thai embassy in that country which is usually done via the thai evisa website. If your in Thailand, get a flight to Vientiane, Laos. Once you arrive simply goto the evisa website and make your application. Upload your evidence. Ensure that includes bank statements showing $15k for a minimum of three months, proof your able to work remotely in Thailand and with a cover letter confirming that's the case and that you won't work for any Thai countries/companies in Thailand. Also include proof of your entry stamp into Laos and a hotel document to prove your in Laos. Once submitted the next morning goto the Thai embassy consular section and pay the 10k baht fee (about £150-200) using the receipt/document provided by the website for your application.

Then wait, within about a week youl get an appointment for an interview at the embassy. Goto the appointment and theyl ask you what you plan to do in Thailand, how you will support yourself while there and youl have to show them your online banking app so they can check it themselves. Then youl be approved and get the visa the same day.

If your unsure just do it in Laos as the interview gives you a better chance of getting it if you missed something they need.

Checklist:

Plan for four weeks stay in case it takes a while to get the interview. Hotels are cheap in Laos, about 500-800 baht a night for a nice hotel.

Bank statements showing income and the minimum savings of 500k baht.

Proof of income and employment

Cover letter from your employer saying you are authorised to work for them remotely from Thailand and won't be dealing with any companies in Thailand.

Proof of entry Laos stamp

Proof of hotel your staying in

CV or job portfolio, linkedin profile, website anything you have that shows what you do.

Tenancy agreement in Thailand if you already live there and tm30 if so.

Cover letter from you explaining you won't work for any companies in Thailand and you plan to integrate and respect the beautiful Thai culture.

Your can only upload one file per section and it has to be like 15mb in file size so join your pdfs and use an online pdf file size compressor to make the size smaller.

Maybe visit vang vieng on the train while your waiting for the interview as it's a funner place to stay than Vientiane.

This was their quote to me when I was contemplating on using an agent. Ultimately I thought it was ridiculous as they can’t even guarantee it 😅 In the end I did it myself and got it but I guess it doesn’t matter to those who can spend the extra $$$!
