Will there be immigration checks on domestic flights from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat in Thailand?

As a seasoned world traveller I'm sure you know only airports with a L in their name are being scrutinized heavily by immigration. But this policy might change for people with black clothing in their checked luggage.

Sorry for your loss and for your friend family. For domestic flights in Thailand there is no immigration check at all. Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat is inside the country so you will not see visa check. They will only check your passport or Thai ID to match your boarding pass.

At domestic terminal you go through normal security and ID check. At Nakhon Si Thammarat airport you will just walk out to baggage, no immigration desk. The talk about safe airports is only for international entry, not for domestic travel.

The airport at Nakhon Si Thammarat only has the usual staff you would expect for airport security. The only travel document they check is your boarding pass.

You only do that for international flights

There is no immigration to clear domestically.
