Applied under Soft Power, Medical. I have Crohn’s disease, and found a Gastroenterologist at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. Had an initial Telemedicine appointment, then set up my appointments for the next six months, showing a medical certification that I will be treated continuously, every 3 months. Lab work to be done etc for treatment. The hospital also sent a letter to the Thai consulate requesting approval.

23 June Submitted Application

28 June Requested non cropped bank statements (combined them as a pdf but it did crop off one area, fixed and resubmitted)

08 July Requested appointment card. I sent the letter from the hospital that they also sent to the Thai Consulate, showing the upcoming appointment dates.

08 July Changed to Pending approval

08 July Visa approved 2 1/2 hours after it went pending.

Seeing that Visa attached, was the best feeling and worth the wait! 🙏🇹🇭

Very interesting and congratulations. I also have Crohn’s disease. Is this more of a gateway for your visa or do you have reason to believe treatment would be different than in the states. I am currently on Stelara,an injectable biologic, every two months. Been very successful on it. The problem is the dose is here are incredibly expensive, like in the thousands of dollars. In the US insurance covers it. And getting an extra dose or two to bring back with me is virtually impossible. so I’ve been really stretching out my treatment to the point where I don’t even know if it’s beneficial anymore.

I also had a telehealth appointment with a G.I. in Bangkok. But that was basically just to get Thai scripts and start pricing.
