Hey so I just did this I had a surgery in Bangkok.

Step 1: if insurance is paying and your free to go any hospital make sure go to Samitivej that’s step one. Bumringrad was good a few years ago but now it’s dated and more of a scam hospital that isn’t that good. You can see that in its Google reviews it’s like
***
or something.

2. Find the best most experienced surgeon in your area

3. Find a relaxing beach to recover from your surgery that has a advanced hospital in case of

Complications (samui or Phuket) I went with samui.

4. Follow up with your surgeon in Bangkok at the end

Good luck make sure stick with Samitivej is most

Important or Bangkok hospital is also acceptable

Depends on the procedure, the hospital you are having it in and your budget. I had surgery at Yanhee which, because it was so invasive, made it hard to move around much and we stayed at Chatrium Riverside in an exec suite which was great since I couldn't fully lay down and had to sleep sitting up - the couch was comfy, there was a great balcony for fresh air and food and drinks available. I'd highly recommend there if you will be limited in movement. If not an overly invasive / painful surgery - look at what hotels are near the hospital.

Stay near the hospital, choose a room with a kitchenette, separate bedroom and living space, big TV with Netflix, make yourself as comfortable as possible. But make sure it's a legal rental, not airbnb, as if you need to extend your visa, you will need to have a TM30 on file with immigration.

Chris P. Bacon Bumrungrad , you don’t need a hotel , the hospital itself offers the service. But if you like there are many to choose from, from 5 stars to 2-3 stars establishment approximated to BRR.

Your hospital should recommend hotels and serviced apartments they work with and discount, and they should send nursing staff to visit you. You need a place that cleans for you and has room service.

I stayed in A-One Bangkok Hotel, it was a short stroll from the massive Bangkok Hospital. The hospital provided a very affordable discount hotel room price. The hotel provided a perfect recovery location, with large comfortable room, rooftop pool, well equipped gym and excellent restaurant.

Most hospitals have serviced apartments nearby. You need to be clearer in your question. Which hospital, budget and any special requirements because of treatment.

The hospital admin staff will be able to advise you whats nearby

Michael Dawson I don’t know which hospital yet.

Chris P. Bacon Thats like putting the cart before the horse. Get hospital first and if you are physically visiting go and see the front desk and ask them. Many times you will get discount from the recomended places.

Stay close to the hospital at which the procedure is scheduled is my advice. I’ve done it before; I’m alone , staying close helps a great deal both pre and post surgery. Hired a care taker is also recommended.
