Hello! I've currently been on a DTV visa for over a year now. Prior I was on a ED visa. I am now 4 months pregnant. My partner is Thai so my baby will have thai citizenship. Has anyone had any experience switching to a Non O parent/guardian visa from a dtv? My current entry is valid July which is almost my due date. So trying to plan ahead for best course of action. I know I cant apply until the baby is born and birth certificate is available but with entry expiration same as my due date will I be able to apply for medical extension or fly out before hand? Says the process is about 15days is that reality or suggestion? Any advice would be great!

Hi I hope someone can help.

My partner had an accident was in hospital and given a NOT fit to fly note until the 24th Jan with a follow up appointment on the 26th of Jan to hopefully get a fit to fly note

I mistakenly thought our visas expired on the 28tg of Jan but I have just checked and they expire on the 24th.

We are due to fly home on the 28th hopefully

But I was wondering what is the best options for us as we will be over staying .

But also the Not fit to fly is only for my partner

Currently in Bangkok, needing medical treatment that may last 6 months. Arrived on 30 day with 30 day extension.

Is there anyway to get to stay longer till my treatment is done now that I’m here already, or would I have to do a visa run after 60 days .. wondering if anyone may have that knowledge

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

— medical extension —

Hey everyone! Anyone got a medical extension on their visa before and know the process to get one? (Preferably in CM)

Was in a hectic bike accident and broke my leg/toe. Still can’t walk yet and unsure if I’ll be able too by the time it hits October.

Trying to figure out what my options are.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Hi All.

I have tried searching for this answer but keep coming up with old posts on covid extensions [ not this at all.] Myself and partner are in Hua Hin . However partner now has covid and is pretty poorly [ does not require hospitalisation] and i hope never will !! but can't get on a plane which we are set to go on back to uk on Monday 1st of May unless things really quickly changes . However our visa excempt also runs out that same day! What does one do in this situation will immigration give me a further week or something so he can get over his illness? If so what are the requirements or what do i need to do , we really need to get back to uk asap l . [i'm also petrified i will go down with it as well [doing all i can to prevent that happening though]. This all v stressful! Thanks for any help .

Hi my name is Kenneth Pilling, I am a UK National married to a Thai lady for the last 10 years. I am in Thailand since 19th January until 18th April 2024. My visa is a 90 day non immigrant o visa based on marriage. What are my options for extending my visa for possibly two months, as I am wanting to undergo knee surgery. We live in Roi Et. My last post was declined, can you tell me why please?

Hi. Has anyone here not been able to make it for their COVID extension (or another visa's extension) because of getting COVID? In that case did you get a doctor's certificate saying that you had COVID during that period and take that to immigration on a later day after you had recovered? Would anyone know of a clinic where it is possible to get this certificate and that doesn't charge you too much?

Thanks for any input you could share.

My “Medical Extension” for being sick with COVID was approved today with 14 day under consideration stamp. 60 days altogether which was surprising.

Documents we gave Chiang Mai Immigration:

1. Medical certificate from doctor signed saying I must quarantine for 10 days.

2. Power of attorney for friend to represent me. Hard to find at first. Link here: [members only]

3. Passport size photo.

4. A large photo we printed out of me in color.

5. Photo copy of my passport.

6. Photo copy of ID of person on power of attorney

6. Tm30

It was approved. They only returned the medical certificate for me to keep. I hope this helps someone.

The daughter is visiting from the US on a 60 tourist visa. She got hit by a truck and is in the hospital. How do I go about getting a “medical” extension? Or what needs to be done to keep her from over stay? No way will she be leaving Thailand any time soon.
