Hi my name is Kenneth Pilling, I am a UK National married to a Thai lady for the last 10 years. I am in Thailand since 19th January until 18th April 2024. My visa is a 90 day non immigrant o visa based on marriage. What are my options for extending my visa for possibly two months, as I am wanting to undergo knee surgery. We live in Roi Et. My last post was declined, can you tell me why please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Kenneth Pilling, a UK national married to a Thai citizen, is currently in Thailand on a 90-day non-immigrant O visa and is looking for options to extend his stay due to an upcoming knee surgery. Community responses suggest he can apply for a 60-day family visit extension or a medical extension with a supporting certificate from a hospital. It's highlighted that while a medical extension is possible, it is not guaranteed because it is dependent on the circumstances of his surgery, and his immigration history will also be considered. The conversation also includes encouragement from the community for his surgery and extension process.

Could you save the 60 day visit and get a medical extension from hospital?Just a question

Yes that's possible with a medical certificate request to Thai immigration stating that you are scheduled for Surgery on x date and will be in recovery xx days requesting either a 30, 60 or 90 day Medical Extension of Stay.

Note that it's not guaranteed that you will be granted it as it's an elective surgery and you have the option to get the One year extension of stay as Married to Thai.

And Thai Immigration will take into consideration your Thai immigration history.

, doubtful you can apply for a medical extension while you have other 'standard' extension options available. But surely you can ask or try to get a medical extension first.
