I am going to be in Thailand 47 days from late October to early December, on the visa application 1- I cannot find the 60 day option, 2-do I really need to show accommodations booked for the whole 47 days? I have a hotel booked for the first 10 days, will spend some time travelling and some time at friends
Answer summary
The user is seeking clarification on the requirements for a 60-day tourist visa for their stay in Thailand, specifically about the need to provide proof of accommodation for the entire duration of their visit, which is 47 days. The community response suggests that the single entry tourist visa is indeed the 60-day option, and travelers are generally not required to show bookings for the entire stay. It is recommended to attach the initial hotel reservation and possibly an itinerary to clarify travel plans.

Don't listen to most of these - get the Single Entry Tourist Visa for 60 days. Upload the reservation you have, don't need full 47 days. Do need your flights and 3 months of bank statements.

Don't forget TDAC within 3 days of arrival or use THIM app.

Get automatically 30 days, go to immigration on last day and get 30 more, if run over a couple of days, pay at airport.

Go to the Thai government website for the facts. Don't rely on this FB site.

You can freely get 30 and apply at immigration for the rest. No big deal easy

Just put various unbooked hotels. Even if you have bookings, there is only space for 2

Give it time, it'll go back to 60 again, flip flop flip flop

There's no reason for it to go back. People can very easily get a tourist visa if they need 60 days.

The single entry tourist visa is the 60 day option. I don't think it says 60 days anywhere in the application.

Just upload what you have, the reservation you've made (if the application asks for that). If the embassy is not satisfied with what you provide to them, they will send you a request for more information.

Ian Hojo and maybe attach a cover letter explaining your intentions of travel etc while in Thailand to cover the accommodation only being booked for 10 days.

Secondly, maybe attach an itinerary of your time in Thailand. Are you going to visit Koh Samui, Vietnam etc.

Ian Hojo you are thinking of flying with no visa. Visa exempt will be 30 days. But that's all you need seeing you can extend it for another 30 days. Book a international bus from nong Khao to Vientianne and that's your onward travel ticket.

Tourist visa is something you apply for and pay for through a Thai embassy. That has NEVER changed and it is not changing. Visa exempt is what is changing.
