TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is seeking advice on their Thai visa application, which was canceled, possibly due to issues with displaying funds in a Thai bank account or discrepancies between home and current addresses. They received responses highlighting that a cancellation may indicate errors in personal data matching or document submission, rather than specific issues with account funds or address details. It's suggested to double-check all submitted information, especially biometric details.
thanks everyone for your responses. One common theme I keep reading but is not accurate, is that the error is on the biodata /passport stuff.
The error is not necessarily on the biodata, as I just checked that.
Surely there is an error on the documents, somewhere, which I don't get access to, but not on the biodata, because I can see my details input on the application cancellation on the website and they are perfect.
I hope this help others too. Thank you. will keep you updated!
Two words are used either rejected or canceled. If canceled you had an error in your bio data fields not matching your passport, if rejected they didn't like your documents. Be aware that you must triple check the biodata field after you upload your passport photo because the OCR makes mistakes while reading the picture, confirm the data and edit if necessary. Make sure your names are exactly as in MRZ >>> zone.
Current address is where you are now, permanent address would be whatever you consider your home. If you are applying from your home country both addresses may very well be the same.
We applied for our DTV in Vientiane. Showed 500K baht in a Thai bank account. Home address in Thailand but when applying we used the address we stayed at in Lao.
