hello everyone, got my dtv approved in ho chi minh, flying back tomorrow. apart from my e visa printed out what else should i prepare for the immigration?
Hi all, from my research here I believe the DTV visa once approved gets activated in 2 ways -
1. You receive ur approved DTV e-visa via e-mail. Carrying this document you fly in to Thailand show this e-visa along with the regular docs TDAC and they will stamp us with the DTV 5 year?
2. You submit your passport to a Thai embassy outside the country and once approved get it stamped there too ??
I’m very confused how option 2 works.
Does it still require approved DTV e-visa via email prior to that ? I see in posts people say they submitted their passport at the embassy and received it back in a few days with the DTV stamp?
After getting my new passport I wasn't quite sure how it would work transferring the visa over.
I flew out of Suvarnabhumi and as I came down the escalator was directed to the new electronic gates. I explained i would need a stamp in my passport and they still pointed at the gates. Ignoring this i went and joined the line for a human immigration officer.
Once I explained that I had a new passport and would need a stamp, I was escorted to a desk at the back where they transfered the stamp coming in previously and the new exit stamp into my new passport 🥳🥳🥳. No questions, no issues, no problems. They advised to bring both passports when I next enter 👍
Guys I was send an email from Thai embassy regarding my e-visa for additional documents for previous travel history and I haven’t travelled out of my country before so I sent a letter do you think my visa will be accepted since I haven’t traveled out before
Just got my final approval document for thr LTR Wealthy Pensioner. Yay!
It was my understanding that I would next have to get a stamp issued in my passport. I live in
NYC.
Called NYC embassy twice-of course 2 different answers. They are now telling me i need to apply for the e-visa. Once that’s done i will get another document that i am supposed to take with me upon my next arrival in Thailand to get the stamp in my passport.
I litetally just got back and plan on moving permanently Oct 1. The issuance is valid for 60 days so does that mean i have to fly to Thailand to get the stamp, come back, them move on Oct 1?? Ugh. Or would the e-visa document give me a new timeline?
